The Beauty of the Tenth Amendment

Being  fairly new to what I would call the “Tenth Amendment Movement”, I find myself fascinated and completely engrossed in grasping the full implication of seeing all of the states in the union exercising this new-found, atrophied muscle.  Much to the chagrin of many in Washington, this grassroots uprising is like a tsunami that cannot be stopped.

Growing up, I was never that interested in U.S. History and, probably like the majority of Americans, left the interpretation of the Constitution up to the courts and political pundits who were always screaming this or that was “unconstitutional!”  With the leverage of the Tenth lying dormant and near-death, for me, the final straw that motivated me to find out what had gone wrong in our once great nation was Obamacare.  For others, it may have been some other reckless piece of legislation or just a deep knowing that something was desperately wrong with the inner workings of our government.

Like the old proverb- “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear,” I stumbled upon this website and have been soaking it up like a dried out sponge.  I have actually almost wept tears of relief as I read all of the articles on this site and am now committed to becoming an expert at interpreting the true meaning of our Constitution.  Our founding fathers truly made a way for us to protect our liberty and I am seeing the Tenth Amendment as the powerful fourth branch of government that somehow got lopped off the vine.  But praise God, we are grafting it back on and seeing new life sprig up all over the nation!

I no longer feel powerless or hopeless.  Just knowing that We the People can legally and rightfully oppose unlawful federal legislation at the state level has instilled a desire in me to actually get involved in politics and become a true watchman on the wall, demanding constitutional integrity from every piece of legislation coming down the pike.

There is nothing like the truth to set you free.  Thank you, Tenth Amendment Center, for seeing what so many of us were blind to and dedicating this site to the restoration of the Tenth.
